Forgive so that you will be forgiven
Summary:
Forgiveness is a simple word to speak but very difficult action to many of us.
Forgiving someone doesn’t make you weak but stronger, it keeps you away from bitterness. Choose to forgive someone today not because they deserve forgiveness but because you need peace.
Mark 11:25 says “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your father in heaven may forgive your sins”. If we don’t forgive people who have wronged us, even our Father in heaven will not forgive us.
God wants us clean when we go to him praying. He is a merciful God, He is not happy when He sees us fighting one another. He wants us to love one another and forgive each other. You cannot go before him while holding your friend or somebody in your heart, God will not hear your prayers, He needs you to forgive before he forgives you and answer your prayers.
Forgiveness is one of the major factors that hinders our blessings and our prayers from being answered.
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Unforgiveness may cause sickness because it’s a sin and it opens doors for sickness to enter your body so when you choose to forgive you receive healing.
Today choose to forgive!
