Isn’t it interesting how as we get older, we tend to become more patient, even though we have less time left? Why is that? Perspective! Our problems haven’t changed that much, but our perspective has.

Who’s the person in your life you would describe as ‘a thorn in your side’? What’s the ‘thorny’ situation at work you face day after day? You can have a ‘thorny’ relationship with someone that requires extra grace, love, and prayer.
When you pray, God doesn’t say, ‘Make your request reasonable and practical.’Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession? Take the limits off God!
Where am I going? The Bible says, ‘Where there is no vision, the people perish.’ If you want to get out of the rut you’re in today, ask God to give you a vision for your life – HE will! And when He does, pour yourself into it.
Sometimes we don’t recognize our blessing because it’s in seed form. Instead of saying, ‘How could God possibly use me?’ become aware and alert to people’s needs. You have something God can use.

Strife wreaks havoc in relationships. It often stems from an inflated ego and leads to comparing, competing, and condemning. James points that out: ‘Where… strife is, there is… every evil work.’
GUIDELINES FOR PERSONAL PRAYER SESSIONS
- Schedule a daily time for prayer.
- Prepare a set-apart place where you will pray on a daily basis. A place free from distractions.
- Take water with you into your prayer time.
- Take your Bible with you into your prayer time. Bible reading may be included either before or after prayer. As you are praying, you may also need your Bible for those moments when the Holy Spirit will draw your thoughts to particular passages.
